Chris is a data scientist who applies deep & machine learning, causal inference, and data science to hate
speech, medicine, epidemiology, cancer, and political campaigns. In the 2018 U.S. elections, he led ML for
Gavin Newsom’s gubernatorial campaign, now governor of California; he has also developed machine learning
models for Ukrainian elections, Al Gore's climate change efforts, and Rock the Vote and is now building a
heart attack prediction algorithm with Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s Division of Research.
